Hedgewood Farms Dahlia Tuber Policies
~Shopping Cart: your items are not reserved in your cart until you have completed the checkout process.
~Shipping Costs: Shipping charges are chosen during the checkout process according to the number of tubers you are purchasing. Please choose the correct amount when you check out: 1-4 tubers = $11, 5-35 tubers = $18, 36-60 tubers = $28, 61+ tubers = $40. If you choose to have your tubers shipped early, add the early shipping option to your order and we will ship your tubers on a Monday as close to your preferred date as possible. WARNING: shipping tubers early can be risky and we will NOT be held responsible for damage that may occur during transit. This may include package delays or packages being left out in inclement weather.
~Dahlia Tuber Shipping: We only ship tubers to the United States. We will ship all tubers as the weather allows in April/May. We begin shipping to the southern states first, as they warm up before the northern states. We monitor the temperatures across the country, and ship only when there is a comfortable window of above freezing temperatures.
~Lost/Damaged Packages: Once a package has left our farm, we are no longer responsible for it. If the package arrives late or is lost or damaged during transit, please contact USPS and file a claim.
~Order Changes and Cancellation: Once you have placed an order, we are unable to add or subtract items. If you would like additional items, please place a second order. We are happy to combine your orders and refund shipping charges, if applicable. To have your orders combined, you MUST email us and make the request. Otherwise we have no way of knowing how many orders you placed. Orders may be cancelled, but will incur a $10 restocking fee.
~Tubers Lost in Storage: Once in a while a tuber variety decides it no longer likes our storage conditions. If this occurs and we cannot fulfill your order, we will attempt to contact you to see if you want a substitution or a refund for that variety. If we do not hear back from you, we will refund you for the lost tubers, and we will ship the rest of your order.
~Tuber Quality Guarantee: It is of the utmost importance to us that you receive quality tubers from our farm. When choosing your tubers, we check for tubers that have clearly visible eyes. We send the best to you, and plant the tubers on our farm that appear more “undesirable”. That being said, once in a while something slips through. If you have any problems we ask that you please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order with pictures to help explain the problem, and we will work with you to make things right. Beyond that 48-hour window, the tubers are no longer our responsibility. We are also not responsible for any problems that may occur during the growing season.
~On Farm Pick-Up: If you are local, we are HAPPY to have you pick up your order! Please contact us in the spring when you are ready to pick up your tubers to make an appointment. Just choose the local pick-up option at checkout!
